Shrine #2 - FINALLY fini!

I don't know if anyone is aware of the struggles that I had with this particular shrine (for the Cigar Box Shrine project to benefit the Street Kids of Oaxaca - for a reminder, click HERE). It sort of pieced itself together, but I can finally call it done (I just added a coat of high gloss varnish - a name and a signature is all it needs ... and I am pretty sure it's going to be called "Between Here & There" ... I'll sign it when the varnish dries)

It's just lovely! It's amazing what you can do with a cigar box...hmmm, might have one of those around here...

OH, MY! These different views are just completely awesome, and the colors are brilliant and bright and I am drawn IN. Really good work.

Do you do interior decorating?

thanks, everyone.

funny how pieces that cause internal struggles & copious amounts of hair pulling are still received so well.

ps - the "veil" is a remnant of the lace that we wrapped our wedding favors in ... can't believe I still have some 11 years later. :)

in case anyone is wondering, the little cards on the front, sides & "floating" inside are cards from a miniature tarot deck.
