I haven't vanished ... well, not really ...

... I know, I know ... it's been nearly an entire month since my last post ... you close your eyes for just a moment and time refuses to stop for you ... ah well ... so, where have I been?

one lovely concerned blog pal asked that same question not too long ago ... my response? ... "good question; seems like I have been hiding under a rock"

... and it does, too ... let's just chalk this up to an uneventful and non-epiphany filled self imposed hibernation ... have I been creating? uh, no (seriously, T, I haven't forgotten and I do still love you ... great ideas, but no success with them ... I simply suck right now) ... have I discovered any wonderful medical breakthroughs? again, no. how about renovating the entire house ... that would be one great reason & quite exciting, but no ... perhaps I've just been keeping up with the blogs I enjoy so much ... don't I wish! I am over a week behind on even those ... so, what have I been doing? ... honestly, I couldn't tell you ... what i can tell you is that I have been seriously missing this most wonderful of blog communities & doubt I could stay away much longer even if I tried. I really need to do some bragging on some fellow artists as the rock I've been under must be located directly under one of those lucky stars ... you'll see ... hopefully before this weekend is through.

I think August is a strange month. It's been so dang hot, I don't want to do anything. Catch you later, we will all still be here.

I have been wondering.....glad you are ok. It's a good idea to take a break from blogging every now and then

Welcome back! I know what you mean about it being hard to look back and remember just what it was they you were doing.

I meant THAT you were doing!

Good for you...

...to recluse for a month!

Blogging is not an obligation!

Neither is being creative. I find a sure way to suppress creativity is to expect it.

Hi Michelle
Good to have you back! I think it does us good to have a break from blogging. And I know August is hot over there.
Am sure your creativity will return soon.

I really understand Michelle...
I go into these places that has no creativity, no medical breakthroughs.. no house renovations... no life renovations...

Just a blip in time that just has stood still... but time will say

"HEY GET GOING!!!"

I'm glad to even see a little post from you...
I miss you~

Hey Michelle,

I've done the same thing. I think it's important to take a break and get centered again.

Looking forward to hearing what you've been up to...

Hugs,

donchoo worry about that! ewe have a relaxing, restorative, contemplative, easy blog break and thinketh not of how much we miss you, and how we're feeling neglected.

I said that right, oui?

Welcome Home Michelle!
How about a Mexican Vacation to start those creative juices flowing? Seriously...it has been a strange summer for me too.....I haven't been very creative on paper..just in my head......amazing works of art!!!!(haha)
We all need down (couch) time.... well..at least I do. All day in front of the boob tube...watching endless nothing and letting my brain just chill(rot)....no guilt! Now that I am ready to get back at it...my pc is down and I am still in Texas for a couple of more weeks...ummmm what's on TV?

Hi sweet girl...we all have these times and moments in our lives and I think taking a blogging break sometimes is good for the heart and soul. Sometimes the best gift we can give ourselves is guilt free time to be in our own world for awhile.

I know your wonderful, artistic creativity will return. You are so talented! Did I mention that we all adore you?!!

Hee, I haven't been around much either......I blame the summer.

awww, michelle... i think uneventful and non-epiphany filled time is highly underrated... i remind myself of what eckhart tolle says about it (if the do-er me just will not rest easy), which is that we *need* it.

love and smiles to you...

I completely agree with the others who said that basically sometimes a break is just what the doctor ordered!!!

I can completely understand.
Being away for a few months myself.
Glad you're back.
I'm dragging my "creative" feet, blog wise.
My life has become busy, busy.
I'm hopeful for cooler days and more "creative" free time.
Cheers~

Hey Michelle, the time out - the down time - the quiet time - the calm before the storm...whatever...
while it feels awkward and sometimes even scary to us artist types, is the time that the Muses are gathering their strength to fill up up again. I have been trying to come to terms with that too, and make it a time that I celebrate all that I have already done...sometimes it works, and sometimes I feel like a lazy bump ! ;)
Good to hear from you and as you can see and feel I am sure, you are definitely missed !
May the weekend be full of creative and fun time !

Hi dear one. I've been on low drive until this week. I managed to post my Ikebana arrangements each week and the posts for my summer workshop but really, I wasn't myself. I guess my reasoning is that my sweet son was away for 7 weeks and I really wasn't the same without him. He returns and within two weeks I'm in creative overdrive! I've also been taking some extra steps to nurture my passion and one is to take care of me.

I hope you are doing well. I'm so sadly behind on visiting my blog friends.

{soul hugs}

I have been wondering about you, I must admit. What's that 3rd Eye Muse lassy up to these days...her blog hasn't been updated for a while on my list...but now I know. Well, you know what, good on ya! It's really important to have breaks. Us creative types need them, so that we can re-charge our creative batteries. New ideas don't come from the heavens (some would say they do, admittedly) but by taking a break from all that IS creative. Artists need time to observe, smell the daisies, collect their thoughts, tidy their studio, go for walks, learn a new skill or just go and sleep and dream.
As sure as the moon rises and then goes down, so too do we need rest.
All the best for your siesta, hiatus (not the hernia type, btw!), your dream-time, and your creative recharging.
Love Debrina
