Gosh those cranes look so lovely!! Great job! I haven't left for the cottage yet so I'm going to blog one last time:0) I think I'm a blog-a-holic!Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog btw!:)
"why would a girl do that?"...to share them with a friend, perhaps!?
Your cranes are absolutely beautiful!! I can see them hanging on a wall or placed around a plain white flower vase. And I'm with Janet...no matter how hard I try, I just can't make them look anything but terrible!!! I'll be sharing this link with my "origami Queen"!!! She'll love them!!! have a great week!! debbie
Thanks, everyone - I love the way they look in the spiral, too.
here's a link to some great directions for the traditional crane: http://worldorigamidays.org/downloads/traditional-crane.pdf - if you need help deciphering the folds, feel free to email me and I can try to help. :)
D, I'll email the photo's to you - feel free to print them out and do with them what you will.
... and ... just in case you are wondering, dkuroiwa is close ... very, very close. I had fun making the charms for the Think Pink Charm swap and decided to try to make some earrings! The cranes measure just under 1 & 1/4 inch at the wingspan, so are definitely small enough. :)
Don't you just love when your peers seem to like what you've done, too. :) Thanks for all the wonderfully supportive comments.
Kathryn, they are just placed like that ... but now I am actually thinking that I need to do a larger art piece of cranes ... should probably finish the first batch of earrings before I start that one.
THE CRANES ARE AWESOME!!! Michelle, thank you SO much for the crane gifts that you sent me! And your charms are so pretty in person too! YAY!!! LOVE THESE!!!
