I'll start with the update. As you might remember, I added washi papers to one side of the heart and all I have done since was coat that side in gloss varnish and paint the flip side white:
and here are a couple closer shots:
Feel free to click on any of the above images to see an even larger view. Next step? Not sure, but I think it includes seed beads ... when will I actually have a few hours to spend on these?!?
also,
I truly appreciate all of the wonderful & generous support
& kind words you have showered on me. It has made a world of difference.
thank you
I'm going to be extremely busy during this job transition ... I'm not the only one moving and have offered (been hired) to help the others with the transistion, too. If I seem to have vanished, it's only an illusion ... I'll be back ... have to be back on the 12th if I want to enter something in this:
... and there's still time if you are interested in submitting something to the contest, too.
Just click on the button above to get the whole scoop.
Plus, in my non-copious spare time, I still need to finish up my mock-knit-up for:
and again, there's still time to join!
Finally ... thought it was time for another
Cigar Box tease ....
ready?
are you sure?!?
cool ...
the moleskin notebook on the right is really small, but soooo ready to be marked up.
Be well & dream BIG!
Always, ~M~

Your comment was so cute...you made me smile!Asking if they were close enough to visit... I almost wrote in my post "at least I have pictures." Yes 5 are within visiting distance but the rest afraid are not. When I was a young girl, I use to grow very attached to my art work, I had trouble giving it up. I guess I'm still that way with some of my paintings. When I become enamered with something or obssessed I paint it, then I have trouble parting with it. I have a painting of the Phantom I will never sell because I fell in love with him! Not the painting, the character. Your a very sweet girl and I thank you for your kindness and interest in my work. Your hearts are really beautiful, I hope "your" heart is lighter now!
oh so pretty! I'm glad you're getting used to the idea of a new job :-)
Your little hearts are so pretty, and I love your calligraphy! Good luck with your transition.
I have to note that (although I do dabble in it) that calligraphy Thank You is not mine - I don't remember where I found the image or I certainly would have given credit where it's due.
you big tease *tickles* hahaha! Can't wait to see what you do with that cigar box! I love your hearts! It almost looks like you ceramic painted those on! They look soooo fabulous!!!
Hugs!!
I wish you the best with your transition. And hope you will be back with us with all your cute craftiness soon!

Those hearts look gorgeous. I must go and see if I've already entered your OWOH giveaway..I don't know about anyone else but I have completely lost track of where I've been and what I've entered.
WOAH, there, little Missy.
What's this about a moleskine?!
Those hearts...yum.
Okay...so those hearts? when you figure out what you are going to do with them, don't tell anyone, okay? just put them together...get 'em in a box..tell me how much you need...and send 'em on their way to me because I love love love them!!
Actually...I have THE perfect window, right here, to my left that they would look loveryly hanging in. just putting it out there for ya!!
Your plate is so full...how ever do you keep it all together?? I'm inspired. To do what? I dunno, but I'm inspired nonetheless!!
Happy Trails during transitions, cigar boxes, knitting and contesting!!

All the best with the transition!

I LOVE the hearts. They're so whimsical and light. I don't know how you find time for so many projects.
Good luck with your job change.

Don't you just love cigar boxes?
CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE WON MY OWOH giveway..I have sent you an email so please can I have your address (by Thursday Feb 19th please).
Somehow I doubt you will ever be miserable as long as tehre are at least ten things on the go, am I right??
The heart is 1 1/4' wide and 1 1/4' tall. I forgot to put that didn't I? It's been sort of slow in my shop of late and I've been trying to make things for my Etsy store, to make up for it I think! The economy is scary isn't it? Have a good night!
Misty
